In Love with Victoria’s Secret LOVE Perfume
I’m a sucker for Valentine’s Day; there’s a part of me that still wants a shoebox full of silly, corny little Valentine’s Day cards from all my loved ones. I’m relishing these years when my little boys still name me as their “Valentine” …a mix of innocence and lack of better options; for the time being anyway. When it comes to my honey; he can always expect that I will guilt him into taking me to a jam-packed restaurant, gift him a box of chocolates and/or a kitschy trinket professing my undying love and the best part…something romantic i.e. lingerie, a sexy dress or in this year’s case; a new perfume that smells like love.
Some may disagree, but I think that the Victoria’s Secret brand should be considered a card-carrying member of the master perfumers club. Not to discredit the Chanels and Guerlains of the olfactory world but most of us Target wearing millennials will recognize a spritz of Heavenly or Tease before Opium or Poison. True to form, Victoria’s latest fragrance; aptly named LOVE, is a mix of, and I’m quoting; fresh air, blush blooms, and boyfriend tees…a little bit of him, sexier on her. We get it, it’s not quite a passion fueled tryst, not quite complacent retirees…. more like new love and Sunday spooning in the casual airiness of 1000 count sheets.
The scent itself is fabulous; the freshness of Juniper hits you first with a top note of sweet, succulent apricot. The perfume is the perfect combination of fresh, sweet and feminine without being too innocent or coy. This bundle includes a perfumed lotion, makeup bag and Velvet Matte Cream Lip Stain. I love layering the fragrance with the matching lotion; it really helps the scent linger throughout the day without being too heavy. Whatever your V-day mood, get inspired and wear a delicious fragrance that reflects you; I can’t think of anything sexier.
