Okay, I have no idea why it has taken me so long to actually subscribe to this box. I mean for a vegan, this is a box filled with goodies from some amazing companies. I really don’t know why I was always so hesitant to try this box out. I mean, they have such a great reputation to include amazing snacks but I guess I was worried it would be the same things over and over again.
I always saw pictures of their previous boxes which included “popcorn” every month and it just didn’t sell me. I mean, if I want to discover new vegan treats, popcorn wouldn’t be one of them…no matter how tasty they are. So last month I went for it! I mean, what’s the worst that can happen? I buy a box and if I don’t like it, I cancel within their policy dates. I got the March box first but my kids opened it (ate the popcorn and combined the items into my “Vegan Stash” box. I really couldn’t write the review or even appreciate the contents of the box.
But this month I made sure to hide it from my girls and open the box when no one was home, ok who am I kidding. I opened the box at 1 a.m. when everyone was asleep. I’m never ALONE at home I was so excited to when I saw what was inside this box. So many yummy items and some new discoveries for me as well.
Here are some of the brands I am already aware of and LOVE them:
NuttZo – but this sample is CHOCOLATE which is a new flavor for me and I can’t wait to try it out!!! @EatNuttzo
Bob’s Red Mill – always has such great selections and I was able to pick up some sample at the Natural Expo and they were all delicious. – I will be having this Organic Oatmeal with Flax and Chia tomorrow morning! @bobsredmill
Good! Snacks – I really love this brand. They have the most delicious snacks and products. I was so excited when I took a few samples from the expo as well. I am not a big fan of Lemon flavored snacks but I will give this one a try. I am sure it is as delicious as everything else they make! @goodsnackbars
Lundberg – I recently discovered this brand at the expo as well and also took this same sample home. These baked grain bites are crunchy and savory and actually taste great. I would’ve loved trying a different flavor but this one will do. @lundbergfarms
Sunbutter – Sunflower Butter – I also discovered this baby at the expo and I loved it. If you love any kind of butter: cashew, almond, peanut…you can say hello to your new favorite one – Sunflower butter. It is delicious!!!
NEW DISCOVERIES:
Snack Better – Sahale Snacks – I love anything that has pistachios and so when you add pomegranate to it, you had me at “hello”. I am seriously already searching online to see how I can get this product in a bigger bag. I loved everything about this product!
Vitamin Friends – Vegan gummies – I have to admit that I am not sure if these are for me or for my children. The packaging screams “for children” but with supplements like Iron, B complex, Vitamin C, Biotin and Zinc…I am really not sure. We still haven’t tried this so I can’t comment on the taste or efficacy of the vitamins. @vitaminfriend
Growing Roots – organic coconut & seed bites – Pina Colada – Haven’t tried this yet but looks interesting. @growingrootsfoods
Healthy Truth – Ceylon Cinnamon Crunch – Another one I haven’t tried yet but looks like it would taste delicious on top of some oatmeal or acai bowl. @healthytruthfoods
The Real Coconut – Plantain Flour Hemp Raisin Cookie. Unique is the only way to describe this item. Cookies are a bit hard but it definitely has a unique flavor and taste to it. I am still on the fence if I like or not…maybe another bite tomorrow….@therealcoconut
Tickle Water – Watermelon Sparkling Water – I put this one in my fridge because I like my drinks to be cold. The owl on the cover is absolutely adorable with her little slogan “Whoo Said Water Isn’t Cool?” Well, I will let you know once I taste it… if it is or isn’t. @drinkticklewater
Rind Snacks – Tropical Blend SKin On Superfruit Snack – YUM!!! I loved this and I love that they kept the skin in. Cool idea…it provides us with those added nutrients those lovely skin carry. @rindsnacks
Orgain.Kids – Obar – chocolate brownie. I must confess that I almost didn’t give this one to my kids. I mean, come on! CHOCOLATE BROWNIE!!! But I resisted temptation and handed it over to my three little testers. They all agree…they want more!!! @drinkorgain
Tastu Tea – Japanese Matcha Tea – with added vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. – I haven’t tried it yet but I love that you just have to mix it with 16 oz of water, shake and go.
This box was SUCH a WINNER!! But I do have to confess and say that they added 2 of their highly rated past picks as bonuses. But even without those bonuses, this box was perfect for me. What are your thoughts?
