As soon as I researched the brand, I knew I was going to love the products they offer. They are vegan, cruelty-free, fluoride-free, gluten-free, made in the U.S.A. and most products are biodegradable. What more can you ask of a company? Especially, an oral care company!
The innovative creators of Terra & Co. are a sister duo by the names of Amra & Azra based out of Los Angeles. They set out to “create natural, non-toxic and cruelty-free products.” And they were very successful at it.

- Brilliant Black Toothpaste with activated charcoal – mint
I have to say that what I really loved about this toothpaste was the tingling sensation that it left. The taste of the toothpaste was nice, not chalky like other charcoal toothpaste I’ve tried in the past. The mint flavor was mild but refreshing and my mouth felt really clean. I really, really enjoyed this toothpaste.

Not all dental floss is created equally and this one is in a class of its own. As you can see from the picture, the box is biodegradable and the floss looks just like a black piece of thread. What I enjoyed most about this floss was that it did not break. No matter how gentle or rough I used the floss, it stayed in tacked. (side note: After experimenting for about 10 minutes, I finally got the floss to break after continuous use of the same piece. However, this was just to test it for you guys. You should not use it as often as I did).

I had NEVER done oil pulling before. All I knew about the process is that you should NOT spit it into your sink because it can damage your pipes. This was an experience all on its own. It was weird for me to hold that oil in my mouth for the recommended 5 – 15 minutes. I dreaded holding it in my mouth but I knew that people love the effects of this technique. Oil pulling is supposed to help freshen mouth, reduce inflammation and kills bacteria among other benefits. Finally, my 5 minutes were up and I was ready to spit into a garbage bag. I immediately brushed my teeth and felt like I had the cleanest mouth ever!!! Who would have thought?
