My young daughter once asked me 'Mama, what is sexy?'
Monumental internal pause for me. How did I want to answer this? Before I had the chance, she was onto her next 5 year old thought. But the question stayed with me.
I wanted to respond in a way that reflected my deeper wish -– to plant the seeds beautifully for her future as a woman... and start the slow but important journey to helping her create her own version of sexy-- one not limited by our culture’s traditional notions.
I wanted to pass on what my French mother taught me – the pleasure of a sensuous life, the sexiness of art, books and ideas, the lusciousness of food and how you savor it. I wanted to show her that sexy isn’t solely about sex, but rather about intellect and curiosity, sensuality and art de vivre.
Her one simple question made me realize that I am deeply passionate about reinventing what ‘sexy’ means. Not just for my daughters, but for everyone.
Don’t you think it’s about time for that too? If you are saying 'oui oui oui’... then we have lots to talk about.
I want to help you find a definition that works for you, so that you can not only stick to it, but bring it into your everyday lifestyle in really easy practical ways.
If you are living the vibrant chaos of parenthood, then you are likely also thinking that sexy is for someone else. Don’t write yourself off, my friend. Stay with me. I’m a parent, I know your frenzy. Chaos and sensuality can co-exist. Promise.
If you are a single or coupled person sans kids, looking at the world and saying: 'I don’t want to live by the traditional recipe of sexy but what exactly is my recipe?' or 'I wish there was an easy way make my busy life feel sensuous'... fantastique – you’re in the right place.
We are all going to change the recipe a little bit and add a twist of new to how we define 'sexy.' I'm going to help you create a lifestyle where sensuality is so much a part of your daily existence that it becomes simply who you are. This is about path to sexy that is real and deep, filled with heart and elegance. To pass on or keep for yourself.
So welcome. Enchantée. New offerings are on the way that'll blend the 'how' into the mix. In the meantime, read me, join me and blow me a kiss.
