Have You Tried GT’S Living Foods Kombucha?

If you would have asked me 10 years ago what Kombucha was I would’ve probably said a new dance style. Coming from Miami, the only thing everyone knew, was where to get a really good Cuban shot of coffee “Cafe Cubano”. Life was so different back then than it is today. Living in California all these years has taught me to drink less (alcohol) and love thy body more. Hence the introduction of kombucha and especially, GT’s Living Foods kombucha.

In all the hype of healing our microbiome and drinking more pro/prebiotics, GT’s Kombucha stands in a crowd of its own. What is Kombucha you ask? Well, its “a beverage produced by fermenting sweet tea with a culture of yeast and bacteria” (Google Dictionary) There are plenty of living cultures inside those bottles of Kombucha ready to help your digestion needs.

Side note, most kombuchas have a bit of alcohol (less than 0.5% which is why it is labeled “non-alcoholic”) it occurs during the breakdown of sugars into carbon dioxide and alcohol. Some claim that it gets them a little tipsy but this has not been the case for me.

Back to GT’s Living Foods kombucha and my love affair with this drink.

The first time I tried kombucha was at a Hispanic women’s event and I have to say that I was NOT a fan. I am not sure if it was the brand, taste or what but I knew it wasn’t for me. At different festivals and events, (especially the vegan ones), there was always kombucha tasting and I, again, tried and failed. I could not phantom the taste of an apple cider-like drink in my mouth. One day a friend introduced me to GT’s Synergy at her party without telling me what it was. She just said, “here try this amazing drink, you’ll love it”. I tried it and I LOVED it! When she told me that it was kombucha, I couldn’t believe it. Since that day, almost three months ago, I have my fridge stocked with GT’s kombucha.

I love the taste, I love how it makes my body feel and I have never veered away from the brand.

According to their site,”GT’s Enlightened Synergy is 95% Kombucha and 5% unsweetened organic fruit juice or puree. Synergy is a great starter for those new to Kombucha, as it has a milder taste.”   I don’t know if this was the reason I loved the taste so much. If it was a starter into kombucha drinking or what but I loved Synergy. I have since branched out to other flavors from GT’s and enjoy them very much. But for me, Synergy is the best.

And just for summer, GT’s Living Foods introduced a limited-edition kombucha bottle nicely titled UNITY.  Cherry, coconut and lemongrass flavors. It is distinct and delicious but above all, their message is what is most inspiring “Kombucha is our love song. Each ingredient, a distinct note, joins in harmony to nourish the mind, body, and soul. We offer this gift of Unity to remind the world that there is more that brings us together than pulls us apart.”

If you want to get your hands on this limited edition or other flavors go to https://gtslivingfoods.com/

And if you are not a kombucha lover, I get ya. But did you GT’S Living Foods has yogurt, probiotic shots, Keifer water, wellness water, adaptogenic teas and more.   So check them out and tell me your thoughts.
