There is something so special and beautiful about a brand that cares. Ecco Bella might be a new discovery for me, but it has been around since 1992. While the world barely cared about the ingredients we put into our bodies. Nor the slaughter and cruel animal experiments in the name of beauty, Ecco Bella cared.
I’m sure that when Sally Malanga, Founder, and CEO of Ecco Bella began her company in the nineties, everyone probably laughed internally. A brand who is using plant-based ingredients, cruelty-free methods and supports animal organizations was unheard of. I grew up in the nineties and during that era, not many cared about living a healthy lifestyle nor ingredients in our skincare, makeup or food products. When it came to animal sufferings and slaughters, it was barely even a topic (unless you were an advocate).
I’m so grateful we have come a LONG way.
I am always looking for companies that care, care about us, animals and the planet and during my search, I discovered Ecco Bella. Ecco Bella is a cruelty-free brand that offers a few vegan products. I was given two products to test out.
- Ecco Bella Flower Color Lipstick – Rouge a levres – “Our FlowerColor Lipstick is created with a simple healthy formula of vegetable waxes, oils, and mineral pigments that go on creamy and won’t feather. Like a lip balm, Ecco Bella FlowerColor natural lipsticks moisturize without flaking or chapping.”
If you want a very natural look, this is the perfect color. The color looks great on for daytime and left my lips very moisturized. The color stayed on for a good two hours before I had to reapply.
- Ecco Bella Natural Blush Refill – Infused with FlowerColor Waxes – Purity – “A pure and simple formula of sweet almond oil, natural pigments, Flower Cutins, and vitamin E. Talc-free, fragrance-free and no additives to cause sensitivity. Dual purpose, safe enough to use around the eyes. Gluten-free.”
Very pretty color that complimented my skin tone. This is a great color for daytime if you want a natural look. For nighttime, you would have to use more of the product to achieve a more defined color. I did love that it was long-lasting without the use of a primer.
